Bobby Garringer...

...has great memories of time spent serving churches in Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma for over 50 years. Still, he states that the most significant changes in his life since his conversion in 1963 occurred first
first in the early 1970s. At that time, he worked with a group of young people in a combined ministry called The Way Inn and Backroom Chapel at Oklahoma State University.
Then, four years ago, he was deeply moved by experiences at Kings Porch, a house church group in Dripping Springs, Texas. This group functioned under the shared leadership of Contemporary Christian songwriter Jesse Reeves, his wife, Janet, and a group of young professional men and women. Kings Porch demonstrated the power of close contact and care for one another through a simple format of testimony, worship, and individual and group study of a book of the Bible at a time.
As a result, Bobby now shares with others what he calls “A Fresh Vision for Missions and Church Growth,” based on a close study of the message and method modeled by Jesus and passed along to the early apostolic church.
In retirement, he has devoted many hours to researching and refining his writing style. To Be or Not to Be: Clearing the Fog, Quieting the Fury of Political Talk is the first of what he hopes to be many helpful resources.
